Factors Affecting Container Seaport Competitiveness: Case Study on Port of Rijeka

In this research, the authors aimed to investigate factors affecting competitiveness of container seaports and apply research results case study Port Rijeka. The previous related on topic Rijeka is valuable, however, seaport were not elaborated in detail, which also represents a gap. As first step, identified influencing seaports, using literature review method. Further, conducted Rijeka, following factors: port’s geographical location, feeder connection, maritime connectivity, infrastructure superstructure terminal, berth length, depth port area characteristics, road railway infrastructure, reputation, costs, customs procedure efficiency, ICT systems. Finally, propose measures improve presented could be used as reference point for similar are aware their limited resources, but need increase efficiency competitiveness.
